Eat Local First Olympic Peninsula

Did you know that WSU’s Clallam Extension is sponsoring their 2nd Annual Eat Local First Olympic Peninsula campaign encouraging all farms, local food businesses, and organizations that work to support our local food economy?

How to Participate

Local restaurants who are purchasing from our local farmers, producers and fisheries can create a free listing on the statewide Eat Local First WA Food & Farm Finder by going to

WSU is working to highlight to consumers that when they support those local restaurants they also support our local farmers and producers. For restaurants, we encourage them to let us know what they will be serving that is locally sourced and to highlight the local farmers/fisheries they are sourcing from.

For farms, some of them are offering meet and greets/farm walks/talks on their farms since the official Farm Tour is not happening in Clallam this year.

As time is limited for many of our businesses, contact Lisa Vaughn at if your business needs assistance in setting up a free listing.

Consumer participants can download the September Bingo card as part of the campaign supporting local farmers, producers, fisheries, grocers & restaurants purchasing from them, food banks, and organizations who work to help support our local food system.  Go to Eat Local Month: Experience joy and purpose while eating local for a resilient food future – Eat Local First Olympic Peninsula ( for more information.
